Create an Order of Service
An order of service is the booklet handed out at a funeral. It holds the running order of the day, and it becomes something people keep. Start from the shape below, make it yours, and download a copy to print. It is free, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Thank You
The family would like to thank everyone for being here today, and for the kindness and support shown over recent weeks. It has meant a great deal.

What usually goes in an order of service
There is no fixed rule, and nothing here is compulsory. Most booklets have the person’s name, a photo and their dates on the cover, the order of the service inside, a reading or two, and a few words of thanks on the back. A church service will include hymns and prayers. A celebrant-led service is often more open. Keep what feels right for the person, and leave out what doesn’t.
There is more to sort than the service
When someone dies there is a lot to hold, and it is hard to know the order to do it in. Fiora walks you through it, one step at a time, from the first few days through to the practical things afterwards.
